We are saddened to learn of the death of Howard Robinson, a life-long resident of Leigh, painter of local landscapes and buildings, and supporter and contributor to the Leigh Art trail from its inception.
He opened and worked from Gallery 3 in Leigham Court Drive for many years and in later years worked from his garden studio on Marine Parade.
Howard gave freely of his time to many community and school projects in Leigh and was a good friend of the Endeavour Trust.
In 2012 he offered to paint a picture of Endeavour for a prize in the Trust’s much-needed fund-raising raffle. This is shown here.
Howard will be greatly missed by so many people and is a great loss to the Leigh community and the art world.
