The Trust would like to welcome Steve Barham to the Committee. Steve grew up sailing in local waters and now sails regularly on the River Crouch. He has followed the Endeavour story since she was first restored and looks forward to contributing to the important work of the Trust.
We also welcome Jenny Davies, who will be helping us out with our comms on social media. Jenny is very familiar with Endeavour, being Chairman Peter Wexham’s daughter, and hence having grown up around the boat when Peter was her owner!
The Trust is very pleased to announce that our Secretary Cameron McGregor and Treasurer Carl Pullen have been appointed as Trustees.
This important role ensures that the Trust caries out its purposes for the public benefit and for the purposes for which it is set up. Trustees ensure compliance with the law and ensure that the money that is donated to us is spent in the best interests of the charity and accountably, including making our annual filings with the Charity Commission, and ensure that the Trust is not exposed to undue risk.

Following a number of recent deaths and departures, the Trust has reviewed its governance arrangements and is delighted to announce that Peter Wexham has taken up the role of Trustee Chair and Fraser Marshall, who is responsible for our newletters, social media and website has accepted an offer to become a trustee.
The Endeavour Trust’s Annual General Meeting took place at Leigh Community Centre on 1st Oct.
Members enjoyed an excellent presentation entitled Endeavour’s Year, which showcased the boat in various locations across the previous year, with commentary. It has been uploaded to our website which you can find here along with other documents from this year’s meeting.
The Annual Accounts were approved as accurate.
Work continues to recruit additional committee members to assist with continuing the Trust’s good work.
The recent death of Finlay Marshall, a much-respected and greatly-missed Trustee, coming after the loss of Chris Bailey nearly two years ago, and the resignation of Paul Gilson means that we have some key roles that need filling, to ensure the work of the Trust is as effective as possible.
