Photos from St Katherine's Dock Trip

A few shots from the weekend of Endeavour's trip down to St Katherine's Dock where she was due to rendezvous with other Association of Dunkirk Little Ships craft. We were thrilled to have been joined by so many members for the journey and they all reported enjoying it very much indeed.

Unfortunately, the Port of London Authority had closed Hammersmith Bridge to all traffic, preventing the others from joining us there. It was a little lonely at St Kat's, and the decision was made to take her back to Leigh earlier than was originally planned.

Trust Treasurer Rob Everitt reports that while the dock was quiet again on the Sunday when he, Alan Barttram and Chris Burls brought her home, there was interest in Endeavour. "One really good moment for me was when I overheard a young lad of about 10 asking his dad about ‘that old boat’, and his father reeled off the whole story of Dunkirk, Operation Dynamo and the Little Ships. It just shows how the story is moved on! I gave them a handful of newsletters – and a membership form!"

A full write up will appear in the next newsletter.
