St Kats and the Veterans' Cruise

Well, we haven't had much luck in getting Endeavour off her mooring recently! Last week's Bank of England cruise had to be cancelled due to one key crew member hurting his back (not on Endeavour!) and yesterday's outing was cancelled because of the grotty weather. Two events that we are confident will go ahead are the Classic Boat Show at St Katharine Docks next to Tower Bridge 3rd-5th September, and the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships' Veterans' Cruise at Penton Hook Marina the following weekend.

The last  St Kats visit was great as we had a boat full of new members on the way up, and this year we're hoping for another boat full when we go up to on Thursday 02/09/21... We'll be there all over the weekend, then instead of coming back to Leigh and then going up again to the Vets cruise, we plan to stay up river in London (venue TBC), and motor right through London to Penton, which should be a great trip!

More details will be published when we've finalised our plans, but we thought we should alert you now!

For anyone that wishes to come up to London and see Endeavour and the other classic boats, it's a short walk from Fenchurch St or Tower Hill to St Katherine Docks (Map) and most importantly, it's an open weekend, which means you can go on board and talk to the crews. Maybe Endeavour might get another visit from Rod Stewart, like she did a few years ago?

A flyer for the St Kats' event can be found here.
