Over the recent cold and foggy weekend, Endeavour was moved into her sheltered Leigh Marina mooring, alongside the wharf.
A brilliant team effort led by Alan Barttram and Chris Burls with members Henry Diggines, Andy Lewis, Sam Rakusen and Phil Hewer erected her framework and covers yesterday - thank you to them all for their time and effort! Endeavour will now stay on her tidal berth in the Marina, covered up, until next March when we plan to roll her out onto the hard standing and give her a clean, paint, antifoul and get her ready to put back onto her usual mooring by the end of April.
It's been an extremely hard year for everyone, but we've managed some real highs too. The encouragement and donations we get from our members and supporters is sincerely invaluable in keeping going with our work and we continue to be honoured and delighted that so many value what the Leigh-on-Sea Endeavour Trust does.
We would like to wish our members and supporters a very Happy Christmas and let's hope that 2022 is better for us all!
