The Trust would like to thank the Queen for her 70 years of dedicated service as monarch.
Her Majesty’s death on 8th September prompted the organisers to cancel the Old Leigh Shanty Festival on Saturday, 10th September and the Old Leigh Regatta on the following day as a mark of respect.
Naturally, the Trust was disappointed that one of our high points of the year couldn't happen, especially having been unable to go ahead during the Covid years.
We completely understand why the committee made the decision it did and we will look forward to enjoying this wonderful event next year.
