A Trip in Memoriam

Our esteemed membership secretary, Chris Burls, and his wife Connie recently took a trip to the National Memorial Arboretum near Alrewas in Staffordshire, where they took the time to view the Dunkirk memorial. They were able to reflect on that momentous day and how we are connected to it via Endeavour and the other Leigh ships that went over to rescue the men from the beaches, most especially, of course, Renown and her crew.
For more information about the National Memorial Arboretum, which is a 150 acre-site on the edge of the National Forest run by the Royal British Legion to commemorate those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice, visit their website.
